The Library is the heart and treasure house of knowledge and information of an academic institution and it is an essential and integral component of every institution.
The library was established in the year 1958 and was transferred in a new building on 4th August 2005. The central library with adequate space large number of books, journals/periodicals, internet and other support facilities is located at a convenient place. The computerization of the library is done since 2011 using SOUL 2.0 Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) provided by INFLIBNET (U.G.C.) that caters to the needs of UG, PG and Research Scholars, staff and other stake holders.
Subject scope: Science- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Botany, Zoology and Computer Science.
Commerce: (All Subjects)
Others: Economics, English, Education (B.ed) & Physical Education and Sports.
Books- 78000 Approx
The library has a good collection of basic reference works in science, Social science and commerce including subject dictionaries and encyclopaedias etc, magazines 22, newspaper 10,CDs/DVDs, data base IND CAT(INFLIBNET)
A college component with access to 6000+ journals, 164300 E-books under N-List and 600000 E-books through NDL. Inflibnet Centre is delivering scholarly content and contributing to national mission on education through ICT through its N-List Project that is unique in more ways than one. It is a subject specific information gateway to the knowledge resource that is available in open access bridging digital divide and moving towards information society.
